Your Role as Accounting Manager:

As an Accounting Manager at SMG ABA, you will lead and manage daily financial operations, staff oversight, and process improvement initiatives. Your leadership will ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of our client deliverables while fostering a high-performing team.


Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Department Leadership & Oversight
• Manage daily operations of the accounting department
• Supervise staff in financial reporting, payroll, budget prep, and client deliverables
• Review and finalize year-end financials for tax preparation

🔹 Training & Development
• Conduct training sessions and identify ongoing development needs
• Onboard and train new team members

🔹 Process Improvement & Compliance
• Ensure all client deliverables and deadlines (sales tax, weekly/monthly reporting, etc.) are met
• Evaluate and enhance systems, procedures, and accounting principles
• Coordinate staff assignments and workflow

🔹 Internal Communication & Support
• Act as liaison between staff and leadership
• Support recruiting and company-wide events


What You Need to Succeed:

• Proven ability to train others and manage multiple priorities
• High client service orientation

âś” Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Purpose-driven and results-oriented approach
